Rachel Seltzer, O.D.

Dr. Seltzer is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist.  In addition to annual glasses and contact lens exams, she is trained in specialty contact lenses like scleral lenses, myopia management, and ocular disease management.  Dr. Seltzer believes routine eyecare is essential in preventing and managing ocular disease.

Dr. Seltzer earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She completed her clinical rotations at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic here in Dallas, Bellaire Family Eyecare in Houston, and Methodist Hospital in Houston on the neuro-rehabilitation floor. In addition, she was involved in several student organizations, including the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society.

Prior to attending optometry school, she earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. Her involvement in eye care goes back many years prior to optometry school, as she spent her time between semesters working as an optometric technician. Dr. Seltzer was born and raised in Kirkwood, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis, along with her three younger siblings. In her free time, she enjoys cooking with her husband, going on walks with their dogs, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Seltzer is excited to get to know the Dallas area and is committed to providing the highest quality care that The Contact Lens Centers are long known for providing.
