About CLC

20221006 163101Dr. Kay Willis has continued to support this goal over the past decade under her ownership and direction. We expanded our contact lens inventory to stock virtually every lens available –building the largest contact lens inventory in the nation. We have offices in Carrollton and Snider Plaza in Dallas and all locations continue to stock contacts up to 20 diopters (nearsighted or farsighted) and disposable contact lenses from -16D to +10D.

Each office carries several thousand gas permeable (RGP) and soft astigmatic (toric) lenses as well. This huge inventory has made it possible for our doctors to learn the different fitting patterns and equivalents between the various brands and types of contact lenses and our corneal mapping gets the size right. Since we have the contact lenses in stock, you can make side-by-side comparisons quickly and the fit is guaranteed.

At The Contact Lens Centers, our thorough eye health examinations help identify potential health problems as well as visual disorders. CLC’s standard exam includes screening for blood pressure, diabetes, retinal defects (using video to digital imaging for annual comparisons), contrast sensitivity (when you see 20/20 black-on-white, but it still isn’t clear or sharp), corneal topography/mapping, color vision defects and muscle imbalance.

These tests may indicate other systemic conditions like multiple sclerosis and myasthenia gravis as well. In addition, the CLC provides free screenings for their patient’s children. After all, the ability to see 20/20 develops at about age six months and certainly should be checked before pre-school or kindergarten. Schools check distance vision, but it is the close vision (reading, computers) that is used all day at school and needs to be tested for all students.

If you are interested in laser surgery (LASIK) and want to know more about this procedure, or if you want to know if you are a good candidate, be sure to ask our doctors for objective advice and a free screening and counseling for patients over 21 years of age. The Contact Lens Centers work closely with many of the area’s laser surgeons and we provide the pre and post-operative care for laser surgery. The new scanning laser with automatic eye tracking provides the latest technology for superior results.

Your vision is important to you and to the staff of The Contact Lens Centers, so our friendly and knowledgeable doctors take time to explain and demonstrate your options. Also, with four doctors and three office locations in North Dallas, you can schedule an appointment tomorrow, if not today!
